Robert Morse, Earl Holliman, Belinda Montgomery,
GuestStar in "The Day They Hanged Kid Curry"
Robert Morse, Earl Holliman, Belinda Montgomery and Sam Jaffe have been set to guest-star in the special 90-minute segment of ALIAS SMITH AND JONES which will kick off the series first full season.
Pete Duel stars as Hannibal Heyes and Ben Murphy as Jed Curry, two outlaws trying to earn amnesty for their past crimes under aliases. The series premiered last January.
In the 90-minute episode, "The Day They Hanged Kid Curry," Morse will portray Fred Philpotts, a young man who is tired of being a nobody and pretends to be the infamous Jed "Kid" Curry, who uses the alias Thaddeus Jones.
Philpotts is charged with murder and sentenced to hang. Since the charge would cancel the outlaws chances of getting amnesty, they set out to clear him.
Earl Holliman portrays Wheat, present leader of the outlaws old gang; Miss Montgomery portrays Penny, Philpotts girlfriend; and Jaffe plays Soapy Saunders, an old friend of the outlaws who has become rich and honest.
Barry Shear is directing the episode which
is currently before the cameras at Universal Studios. The teleplay
was written by Glen A. Larson, the series creator and producer,
from a story by John Thomas James. Roy Huggins is executive producer
of the series.
WALTER Brennan guest stars in disguise in "The Day They Hanged Kid Curry", starring PETE DUEL and BEN MURPHY in the title roles.
BEN MURPHY washes himself in "The Day They Hanged Kid Curry," also starring PETE DUEL in the title role.
